There will also be a number of shorter writing assignments and journal summaries in the course and we will be spending a <em>significant amount of time</em> studying theories about information so we can develop a more <strong>critical sensibility</strong> regarding hypertext.</font> </td> </tr> </table> <br> The topic for your paper will be on one of the many issues associated with hypertext, issues such as <ul> <li type=square>First amendment rights, <br> <li type=disk>copyright law, <br> <li type=circle>and the use of the World Wide Web in business and education.</ul> <font color=#ad4a18><p class=dropcap>After you have finished your written project, you will reformat your ideas in HTML (hyper text markup language) and produce a web page so you can better understand the advantages and disadvantages of both mediums.</font color> <blockquote>This does not mean that every word in your paper will find its way onto your webpage, nor am I suggesting that you cannot add other elements to your webpages suck as graphics and sound that were not in your paper.</blockquote> <img src="crazyhorse.jpg" height=176 width=154 border=0 class="image_left" /><font size=10 face color="#ff0000">In the last week of the course you will present youe web page to all of us, and then as a group we will design a class homepage that links all of our individual webpages together in an appropriate fashion.</font> Our final group project will be ported to the <a href="http://www.english.ucf.edu">English</a href> department webpage. </body></html>
